Art honors include formal recognition from the United States House of Representatives for the 2020 Art Exhibition of Cultural Heritage in Las Vegas’ Mayor’s Gallery, and a total of 27 Art Exhibitions in 2020, 4 of which were juried international and 10 juried national exhibitions. Regular exhibits at City Lights Art Gallery.

As a Licensed Architect/Director of Operations, I oversee and manage Preselection and Request for Proposals for government projects and opportunities. Administers contracts and provides technical oversight of architects, engineers, and construction contractors.
Interacts with Clark County’s Comprehensive Planning Division, Building Department, Facilities Department and Security, Land Use and Zoning. These various interactions include coordination of building codes, civil engineering and planning, traffic and environmental studies, and related governmental guidelines.
Architectural Design Mentor
University of Nevada School of Architecture Freedom by Design Las Vegas, NV 2018 to Present
Mentors architecture students as defined by Freedom by Design, a program for students of architecture. Students are empowered to improve the safety and accessibility of homes, community spaces, and playgrounds through accessible design. The program is in partnership with the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB).

Manages business development and marketing, contracts, project programming, schematic designs, planning and design, scope of work; interacts with government agencies for code requirements, provided cost reviews.
Coordinates with clients, engineering consultants, contractors, and material suppliers. Reviews, recommends, and authorizes change orders and contract payments.
Architect/Design Administrator and Construction Administrator
Clark County Real Property Management Las Vegas, NV 02/2004 to 10/2017
As a Licensed Architect/Design & Construction Administrator, I oversaw and managed the performance and processes of architecture, engineering, and construction firms on public building and park projects. Encouraged and supported minority owned and disadvantaged businesses to bid and procure projects on government contracts. Ensured projects were carried through in tandem with the community through engagement by applying effective communication that addressed public issues and promoted quality of life for everyone. An important approach included fitting structures and elements with distinguished characteristics of a desert environment, sustainability, renewable energy, and evolving architecture language in Las Vegas and Clark County by and large, helping make Las Vegas come to age as a vibrant and desirable metropolis. Included strategic planning and team collaboration with various government agencies on homeless.
Conferred with County staff regarding project programming, master planning, design and construction, periodic project status, budgeting and project scheduling, construction phasing, health and safety considerations, and cost estimates.
Assisted the County with decisions to cope with the growth and development of public facilities. This role included doing research on workable solutions in designs and materiality as applied to architectural programming and developing design concepts that promote desert architectural elements in the Las Vegas context.
Integrated the guidelines of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) and incorporation of Clark County Design Standards and Specifications into the design process.

Co-taught, with Design Studio Instructor, Arch 208--Fundamentals of Architecture course.
Invited as a jury member to critique student presentations from design studio classes.
Encouraged the students to develop creative thinking and aesthetic sensitivity, technical knowledge through research and analysis, engineering sense, considerations to the environment and nature, and effective communications in graphic and verbal presentations.
Senior Facilities Architect
United Airlines Elk Grove Village, IL 01/2000 to 10/2001
Oversaw the implementation of multiple facilities projects to ensure their timely completion, inspected work-in-progress, and conducted meetings to provide status reports to cross-functional teams.
Consulted with Architects and Engineers, Corporate Real Estate Group, Facilities Maintenance, Information Technology group to develop space allocation needs, design, engineering options, and address health, safety, and environmental issues.
Developed project justification, including facility project requests, funding appropriation requests, preliminary cost estimates and purchase requisitions (for furniture and equipment;) monitored approval processes, and responded to questions regarding the division's interests and requirements including review and award of bids.
Consulted with division headquarters and airport management to identify, plan and coordinate the implementation of facilities requirements that included leases and space improvements, specifications and contracts.
Served as the division's facilities liaison for airports and world headquarters facilities projects such as flight attendants' domiciles and crew lounges, training and learning centers, in-flight kitchens and meal rooms.

Facilitated all aspects of projects including feasibility studies, design, construction, documentation, inspection, and closeout.
Coordinated with consultants, vendors, construction personnel, suppliers, and internal customers in order to facilitate smooth transition of problem solutions.
Interacted with the City of Chicago Building Department regarding zoning and building code requirements, and permit process.
Coordinated with in-house legal counsel, contract administration and purchasing groups in the development of Request for Proposals (RFP) for architectural and construction projects’ bid packages.
Co-chaired the development of the department's construction workflow process from inception to closeout.
